Description

DC 30V 0.05A 3Pin SPDT Snap Button Type Limit Micro Switch

This is a simple momentary switch that is activated by pressing the handle. It is popularly used for object detection, proximity sensing, etc. It is a 3-Pin SPDT SwitchThese switches have a great 'clicky' sound to them with a nice tactile feel and are perfect when used for a slider, 3D printer, or robot project. Each microswitch is rated for 0.005A at 30VDC. You can connect a load that is to be turned on and off directly to the switch or connect the output to a microcontroller (Arduino/ESP32/Raspberry Pi) and read the switch status.

This miniature snap-action switch, also frequently known as a micro switch, is an electric switch that is actuated by very little physical force, through the use of a tipping-point mechanism, sometimes called an "over-center" mechanism.

Switching happens reliably at specific and repeatable positions of the actuator. They are very common due to their low cost but high durability. The defining feature of micro switches is that a relatively small movement at the actuator button produces a relatively large movement at the electrical contacts, which occurs at high speed (regardless of the speed of actuation).

Specifications:

  • 3 pins
  • Current: 0.005A
  • Voltage:30V DC
  • Short Handle
  • Poles : SPDT
  • Contact Type : 1NO + 1NC
  • Action Type : Momentary
  • Snap action contacts have a different trip and reset points. The distance between the trip and reset point is called the travel to reset, hysteresis, or differential. Finite travel to reset helps to avoid multiple changes of state if the object actuating the switch is subject to vibration.
  • Snap action contacts ensure repeatable performance in applications that involve low speed actuators. The amount of travel of the contacts is also not dependent on the amount of travel by the actuator.
  • Holes Available on the Switch Body for Mounting
