Description
Adafruit FLORA Wearable Electronic Platform V3 | Arduino-Compatible Sewable Microcontroller Board
The Adafruit FLORA Wearable Electronic Platform V3 is a compact, Arduino-compatible microcontroller board specifically designed for wearable electronics, smart textiles, e-textiles, and interactive fashion projects. Based on the ATmega32U4 microcontroller, FLORA offers the simplicity of Arduino programming with a circular, sewable PCB optimized for integration into clothing, costumes, accessories, and textile-based electronic projects.
Unlike traditional development boards, FLORA features large conductive sew tabs around its perimeter, making it easy to connect using conductive thread or wires. It includes onboard USB support, a JST battery connector for portable operation, and an integrated power management circuit for rechargeable Lithium-Polymer batteries.
Compatible with the Arduino IDE, FLORA supports a wide range of wearable sensors, NeoPixels, buttons, LEDs, and communication modules, making it an excellent platform for wearable computing and STEM education.
