Description
Digital Insulation Tester Megger - 3½ Digit
Digital Insulation Tester is used to check electrical circuits for faults. The wire gauge (diameter) would depend on the current distance traveled along the wire. Its required as the wire must carry enough current to counteract the effects of resistance. Digital Megger Insulation Testers acutely read voltage in the micro-ohm range and examine the improper connections in electrical circuits. Plug the different colored leads (black, red, and green) into the defined colored terminals of the tester. Once you turn on the tester, you will get the display initiates to set the test voltage. With the help of voltage adjustment buttons, you can scroll through the range of voltages. You can now observe the displayed resistance range reading of the selected voltage. • Go on to the -Start switch and join the lead clips of the tester when prompted. If testing a wire or object, fix the black lead clip to the wire's insulation, red lead to the hot wire of the circuit, and the green lead to the grounding plug or rod; once the leads are plugged, press the "Test" button to begin the test.
