The INA226 / INA231 I2C Current, Voltage & Power Monitor Module is a precision current shunt and power monitoring module designed to accurately measure bus voltage, current, and power consumption in DC systems. Based on the Texas Instruments INA226 or INA231 current-sense IC, the module communicates via a standard I²C (IIC/SMBus) interface, making it easy to integrate with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, STM32, and other microcontroller platforms.
The module supports both high-side and low-side current sensing, enabling safe monitoring of loads without interrupting the ground path. It provides 16-bit ADC resolution, programmable calibration, averaging, and direct digital readout of voltage, current, and power, making it ideal for battery monitoring, solar systems, embedded power management, IoT devices, and industrial automation. The INA226 supports bus voltages up to 36V, while the INA231 supports up to 28V.
